Home built by Dr. William Petry stands on W. German St., Herkimer, NY. The architecture of the home does not conform to any one style having been renovated and extended to suit the wishes of the family members who occupied it in ensuing years. Dr. Petry built the house in 1804, after an earlier house on the same site burned. The tombstone of Dr. Petry and his wife is located on the grounds of the Reformed Church in Herkimer, NY.
